Some kids like to play soccer, football, or T-ball. Others prefer board games, such as Monopoly, chess, or checkers. But there's one game all kids should learn to play: The Savings Game. It's easy to learn and fun, too. There aren't very many rules either. You just have to remember that every time you get some money, you should save some or all of it. Say you get money as a gift or as an allowance. Or you're paid for doing extra chores or you sell toys or books you no longer need. When you do, don't spend it all! Put some of it away to spend another day. You can learn how to win during The Savings Game at this year's National Credit Union Youth Week, April 18-24, 2010. Ask your mom or dad to bring you to the credit union during Youth Week and get into The Savings Game.
